Folks
Folks are six-piece band from the North-West of England. They are Scott Anderson (Vocals), Michael Beasley (Guitar), Thom Fripp (Lead Guitar), Harry Gumery (Bass), Wil Akroyd (Keyboards) and Elliot Barlow (Drums).
Folks wear their influences on their sleeves. With a sound that recalls The Beatles, Lennon, The Flying Burrito brothers and Beck amongst others it would be an easy option to write off Folks as yet another gang of Manchester revivalists. Fortunately their effortless marriage of the most delectable of the old with the new via the medium of a carefully constructed framework of songs instantly sets them apart from their peers.
